A Letter from a Pandemic

What could be the connection between the environmental degradation caused by our way of life and an increase in the number of pandemics? If a pandemic wrote a thank you letter to us for being a good host, what would it say and what advice might it give us to avoid something similar in the future? What can we change about our way of life to reduce the risk from pandemics. Students investigate these questions in this fantastic lesson by Stefanie Ritch for B1 and above, during which they will:

  • share experiences of how friends and family have hosted them and how they said thank you
  • learn about the link between environmental degradation and pandemics while practising listening skills as they watch a video
  • Write a letter in response to this message identifying things we can do differently to reduce this risk

Thank you Stefanie for creating this lesson!
